farewell, o memory mine
(an everlasting psychic wound)

by TWYLIGHT

an everlasting psychic wound...

Originally, this was just the final song of the TWYLIGHT project's debut album, one of a few interpretations of trauma and dissociation in music form. Now, it's the closest and most accurate interpretation we've made yet. This is not an easy listen, and was just as hard to write. Created in the middle of May 2025, we were compelled to rewrite and make a new version of this specific song that’s all about trauma, dissociation, and the severe disconnection and conflict caused by it, in order to vent out built-up emotion. By the time we finished the track, the migraine headache was so severe. This is all that pain. This is a mental spiral made into song form. We hope this track brings those with similar experiences comfort, or a way to understand and learn. You are not alone.

THE MARBLE PROJECTS

Our name is Angel "Marble" Harper. We are queer, furry musician(s) who create a variety of music and sounds in our D.A.W. You may know us most under the TWYLIGHT or Kyoruka alias projects. The TWYLIGHT project is our main project, mostly featuring alt. rock and shoegaze style of music while sticking to our electronic music roots, while the Kyoruka project is strictly electronic dance or rock music. Our other projects include THE CACOPHONY, a hip-hop/rap/digicore band, and qualiaether, our ambient and dream-like soundscapes alias. What you may see and hear may be disturbing in some cases, as we usually tend to put a lot of raw emotion in our work. We hope that in telling our story in navigating our mental health and exploring who we are, it may help others feel less alone, or help in their own journey through difficult times, or at the very least, enjoy our work.We are The Purple Marble, a musical D.I.D system, and wish you well and safe <3
